Dr Engasser received his Bachelor of Arts Degree at Williams College, majoring in Chemistry with honors. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society. After performing a surgical Internship and Hennepin County Medical Center, he received his orthopedic training at the University of Minnesota. After becoming Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery in September 1981, he was elected as a Fellow by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons in 1984. He has been a member in good standing since that time, enhancing his clinical and surgical skills as the scope and depth of orthopedic knowledge has expanded.
Dr Engasser has been in private practice since August 1980, initially with the Nicollet Clinic and Park Nicollet Medical Center. Since 1989 he has partnered with great orthopedists who believe in treating patients as people providing the highest level of personalized care. For 21 years he has worked with Dr Mark Sigmond, 18 years with Dr William Simonet, and 8 years with Dr Lance Silverman.
Dr Engasser has maintained an active membership as a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Minnesota Medical Association, The Minnesota Orthopedic Society, and Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society.
